1. Pre-Installation Check and Preparation

Installation should only be carried out by trained technical personnel. This is critical to avoid any errors or incompatibilities during sensor installation.

Verifying that the product is suitable for its intended use and has the required technical specifications ensures the success of the installation and the long-term performance of your system. These checks ensure that both the product and the system work at their best.

2. Cleaning and Damage Control

Before sensor installation, make sure that the sensor is clean and undamaged. Keep the sensor clean by removing the protective cap immediately before installation. Make sure that NOx sensors are sensitive components and have not been subjected to any impact or damage; avoid installing damaged sensors. These precautions play a critical role in ensuring the correct operation of the sensor and continued performance.

3. Installation and Cable Management

Be careful to install the sensor so that the connectors are not in open contact. Open contact can damage the vehicle's electronic components.

Place the cable in the position specified by the vehicle manufacturer, straight, without tension and without kinks.

Avoid pulling or bending the cable and eliminate the risk of knotting.

This will extend the life of the sensor and cable connections and support the correct operation of the system.

4. Function and System Controls

After the installation is complete, verify that the operating temperature of the control module does not exceed 85°C and ensure that the heat conducting plates and insulation materials are properly installed. Also check that the engine cooling system is working properly, that the coolant temperature is above 70°C and that there are no error codes on the ambient pressure sensor. Make the necessary adjustments to the vehicle control unit and test it with the appropriate diagnostic device. These checks are necessary to ensure the optimum performance of the system and the effectiveness of the emission management. MCT is not responsible for any damage caused by improper use or incorrect installation of the product.
