The following instructions must be followed when handling and installing NOx sensor.

  • Installation should only be done by trained technical personnel.
  • Before the assembly process, it should be ensured that the product is suitable for its intended use and has the necessary dimensions, connections and features
  • After the NOX sensor with control unit has been installed, it may be necessary to additionally adapt the vehicle with a suitable diagnostic tool!
  • Avoid any shock to the sensor as it is made of sensitive sensors. Avoid installing if sensor fallen down or had any damage.
  • To keep the sensor clean, remove the protective cap right before the installation
  • Avoid getting dust, liquids or other dirt on the sensor, otherwise the sensor would be damaged.
  • Do not attempt to clean the sensor by compressed air or any other chemical ways to avoid any damage to the sensor.
  • Never disconnect the connector plug when the ignition is switched on. This can destroy electronic components of the vehicle
  • Install the cable in the position provided by the vehicle manufacturer, keep it as straight as possible, without strain, free of vibrations and not twisted. Do not pull or kink the cable and avoid knotting. Take special care not to bend the cable too much at the probe and at the control module in order to avoid cable breaks.
  • The operating temperature of the control module must not exceed 85°C. Make sure that any heat conducting plates and insulation materials are properly installed.
  • While performing the installation and functional check, make sure that the engine cooling system is working properly, the coolant temperature is above 70°C and there is no error code on the ambient pressure sensor.
  • Some vehicle models require adjustments to the control unit, such as clearing the fault memory and resetting stored NOx readings. Use a suitable diagnostic device for this and follow the vehicle manufacturer‘s repair instructions.
  • MCT accepts no liability for damage caused by improper use or incorrect assembly of the product.
